Conservation Bulb Planting

Saturday October 9, 2021 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm

Please come and join us on Saturday the 9th, between 11:00am and 1pm, to plant some native wildflower bulbs. These will be Ransom, also known as Wild Garlic, Bluebells, and Wood Anemones. This activity is suitable for all ages so families are welcome.

As well as the bulb planting, the Countryside Officer from Wokingham Borough Council will be attending to answer your questions about woodland conservation.

You might like to bring:

  • Strong gloves such as gardening gloves.
  • Sturdy footwear would be advisable.
  • Trowel if you wish, although we will provide tools.
  • Drink of water.

To find us, enter the woods from the Dorset Way entrance opposite Heron Park and follow the path next to the stream towards the pylon line. Take the left path at the decorated tree (Hornbeam), and you should be able to hear us and see us in our Hi-Vis vests.

£3.00 Voluntary Contribution per family to cover the cost of bulbs
