About us

Friends of Fox Hill is a Wokingham-based community group created to support the conservation of Fox Hill and Round Hill for future generations, and encourage community love of the woodlands.

The aims of the group are:

  1. Encourage community love of the woodlands
  2. Remove the Fox Hill and Round Hill areas from the Local Plan update proposal
  3. Obtain Green Space status for the areas
  4. Conserve the existing ancient woodland
  5. Monitor and preserve habitat and fauna species
  6. Maintain community access to the areas and to footpaths

Many local community groups use the area such as:

  • Local scouts
  • Wokingham Rocks
  • Ramblers
  • Photographic groups
  • Local schools
  • Forest School Groups

The woods are also used by the community for a wide range of activities.
