Conservation Party
Our next monthly conservation session is on Sunday 20th of September from 10am to 1pm. It would be great if you could join us. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome including under-18s accompanied by an adult.

Tree Preservation Orders
|
A Tree Preservation Order (TPO) is a legal mechanism granted by a local planning authority to protect and preserve single trees, groups of trees and whole woodlands from deliberate damage or removal. Whilst trees in hedgerows can be covered, hedgerows themselves cannot be protected by a TPO. Anyone wishing to carry out any work on a TPO-protected tree MUST apply …

Hedgelaying Talk at BFNHS

Hedges are an important part of our woodland edge, whether they're living or dead. Keeping hedges dense and thick at the base improves their ability to provide essential habitats. Phil Hart, one of the UK's leading experts, will talk through tips, techniques, and the importance of the Hedglaying craft for wildlife and agricultural heritage.

- Venue: The Recital Room at South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell.

Emm Brook Action

If one volunteer session isn't enough for you next weekend, Friends of the Emm Brook would appreciate your help with tidying up the banks of the stream.

The free event will take place at the field across the road from Emmbrook Senior School entrance, on Saturday, September 19, from 10am until 1pm.
