Friends of Fox Hill
Dear friend,
If you’ve managed to have a walk in the woods in the last couple of weeks, you’ll have definitely noticed the welcome signs of spring. The air is full of birdsong, buds are bursting and the bluebells are promising a beautiful display.

Firstly thank you to everyone who completed the Local Plan consultation document. Removing the land from the development plan would be a hugely important step.

This Sunday March 24th we are conducting a litter pick as part of the Borough council’s community litter pick weekend and the Keep Britain Tidy Big Tidy Up event. We’re meeting at the Limmerhill entrance to the woods but depending on numbers will go to where there is most need, and hopefully meet up at the end for a drink at the Leathern Bottel. It would be lovely to see you if you are able – more details are available on our website.

You may have seen the proposal for a Greenway which would run in part through the woods. The FOFH committee are keeping a close eye on the situation and we hope to be involved in any consultation that takes place.

Please continue to share your beautiful pictures and memories about Fox Hill on our Facebook page and Instagram account.

Best wishes

Jo Rogers, FOFH committee chair.
