Dear friend,
Welcome to our October update. We hope autumn finds you well despite a damp start.

SANG Planning Application

As you may be aware, Wokingham Borough Council have now received a planning application for the privately owned part of Fox Hill Woods to be used as a SANG.

Members of the FOFH committee are closely following the SANG application. We need to examine the detail, but in broad terms we feel that a SANG is the best way to safeguard the woods and ensure continued public access. We hope that we will be able to coordinate a public meeting with all those involved in the near future. In the meantime, we encourage you to review the application. The deadline for comments is Wednesday 6th November.

Footpaths

Following months of painstaking work, the FOFH footpaths team have finalised our application for the registration of public footpaths within Fox Hill. It is undergoing a final check, with the aim of submitting it before the end of the week. A massive thank you to everyone who has participated in this project!

Conservation Working Party

Fourteen volunteers attended today's working party in the council owned area of Fox Hill. Today we continued with the coppicing of hazel, and working on the creation of a dead hedge. Thank you to everyone who came along.

Our next working party is on Sunday 17th November at 10am, and we'd be delighted if you could join us.

❤❤❤ Love Your Woods ❤❤❤

We are planning a series of events to encourage community involvement in the woods, offering child friendly craft activities, and seasonal guided walks.

Our first event, Love Your Woods - Winter, will be held on Sunday 15th December. We're very excited about these events, so please keep an eye on our website, these newsletters and Facebook for further details.

Thank you for continued support
