Conservation Party
Our next monthly conservation session is on Sunday 15th of March from 10am to 1pm. It would be great if you could join us. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome including children accompanied by an adult.

Butterfly Identification made easy - BFNHS Talk - March 16th 7pm, Bracknell

Recording butterflies contributes vital data especially on local populations, but do you know your large whites from your green veined? Grahame Hawker conducts surveys for the Upper Thames branch of Butterfly Conservation and after a brief introduction to butterflies will look at species that can be found in our area to ensure everyone has the confidence to identify and record them.

Our friends from the WDVTA will be holding their Annual General Meeting in St Paul's Parish Rooms, Reading Road, Wokingham, RG41 1EH. The formal AGM should be complete by 8pm and this will be followed by a talk by members about the results of their survey of veteran and significant trees across Wokingham Borough (see the survey map here). Friends of Fox Hill AGM

Many thanks to everyone who attended our recent AGM. We were joined by local beekeeper Tony Lack, who shared a fascinating and highly informative talk on the world of bees. His extensive knowledge made for a truly engaging session. Tony’s local honey was so popular it completely sold out, and many guests enjoyed making beeswax candles and sampling mead.
